Dryer Vent Cleaning
The actual cleaning is done from the inside of your home. We pull your dryer out and disconnect the transition hose, clean it and make sure it is free of kinks. Then we attach a y-joint to the dryer vent opening in the wall. This allows us to use our rotary brush and high powered vacuum at the same time. Our rotary brush loosens the lint inside your dryer vent allowing our powerful vacuum to suck the lint out of the vent leaving the entire length of your vent very clean. Before and after each cleaning we use a handheld anemometer that measures the wind speed at the exhaust exit of your dryer vent. This helps us measure how much the airflow has improved after the dryer vent system has been cleaned.
Dryer Vent Repair and Installation
Our professional dryer vent repairs and installations exceed current building codes. Having us properly install your dryer vent system will ensure that your dryer operates safely and efficiently. A dryer vent system is designed to remove heat, moisture and lint from your dryer. A gas dryer also exhausts carbon monoxide. Improper venting can cause a dryer fire and may lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. Homeowners often replace their dryer because they think it isn't drying properly, however, most of the time the dryer vent system is the problem. The cost of repairing or replacing a dryer vent system may be a fraction of the cost of a new dryer, which will also operate badly if the dryer vent system is defective or dirty. If you are having problems with your dryer vent system, give us a call, we can help.
Lint Alert Safety Alarm Installation
The Lint Alert™ enhances your home safety plan by monitoring the dryer exhaust system for problems. As lint naturally builds up over time, LED indicators progressively illuminate to show how efficiently your dryer is operating. When airflow restriction becomes dangerous, an alarm is triggered letting you know that it is time to have your dryer vent serviced.
Transition Hose Replacement
Building code prohibits the use of plastic and foil transition hoses because they can fuel a dryer fire. We install the safest and highest quality transition hoses available made by Dryer Flex™. They are UL2158A listed and meet international, residential and mechanical codes for safety. Dryer Flex™ always maintains its four inch inner diameter whether fully extended or compressed making it extremely energy efficient. Multiple layers of aluminum attached over zinc coated wire give Dryer Flex™ its unique strength and flexibility while maintaining its fire resistance. Dryer Flex™ keeps its shape and does not kink making it very easy to push your dryer back into place.

Bird Nest Removal
Your dryer vent is a perfect place for birds to build their nests. Most bird nests will almost completely block the airflow of your dryer vent. This causes extremely long drying times and increases the chance of a dryer fire. If you can hear birds in your vent or notice twigs or feathers around the termination hole outside, please contact us. We will remove the nest for you, clean your dryer vent and install a bird guard over the termination hole so the birds cannot come back.
Bird Guard Installation
In order to keep birds and other small animals from nesting in your dryer vent and blocking the airflow, we sell and install bird guards. They cover the dryer vent exterior exit and prevent animals from entering the vent, while still allowing lint and airflow to exit. It is still necessary to visually check your exhaust exit from time to time to make sure there are no blockages.
